A patrol car was hit and a pursuit followed on Wednesday, followed by the arrest of two.

A 28-year-old Sandy woman led deputies on a pursuit after crashing a stolen vehicle into a patrol car Wednesday evening. Deputies arrested her, and later her boyfriend, for various crimes and outstanding warrants.Danielle Hague

A Washington County Sheriff's Office deputy conducting routine patrols located a stolen white 1990 Honda Civic parked in the lot of the Fred Meyer, 15995 S.W. Walker Road in Beaverton, around 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11. While giving commands to a woman in the car, she reversed the vehicle and crashed it into the patrol car, then drove away with deputies in pursuit, police say.

The pursuit ended on Southwest Murray Boulevard near Butner Road when deputies completed a pursuit intervention technique (also known as a PIT). The Civic struck a tree. The driver, Danielle Hague, 28, of Sandy was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Wayde Silva Jr.

During the investigation, investigators learned that Hague had been committing retail theft with her boyfriend when deputies located the stolen Civic. Deputies searched the Fred Meyer and found the boyfriend, Wayde Silva Jr., 35, of Portland, hiding in a bathroom stall.

Silva was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, identity theft, criminal trespass in the second degree and outstanding arrest warrants for absconding and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Hague was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, attempted assault on a public safety officer, attempt to elude in a vehicle, attempt to elude on foot, theft in the second degree, forging a registration, and an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violation.
