Safeway Providence Festival of Trees
For the last 40 years, the Safeway Providence Festival of Trees has delighted community members young and young at heart. This be loved holiday tradition is returning in-person this year, and all are welcome to join in on the fun at the Oregon Convention Center on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3.
Festival goers will enjoy a reimagined festival complete with holiday light displays, visits with Santa, festive treats and fun for the whole family — including a chance for kids to earn their ears at Elf Academy. At the heart of it all is the spectacular festival trees, carefully curated and crafted to wow. "There's nothing quite like the festival. You have to see it to believe it," says Kelly Buechler, chief philanthropy officer for Providence Foundations of Oregon.
Since its inception in 1983, the festival has raised over $20 million to support Providence programs, including Providence Child Center, patient medication assistance program, guest housing expansion, youth heart screenings and more. Proceeds from this year's festivities will benefit Providence Children's Health with an emphasis on programs and support services for children with special health care needs and their families.
