Thriller author comes to Beaverton
Bestselling mystery and thriller writer Jeffery Deaver is coming to Beaverton.
Deaver, author of the Lincoln Rhyme series, is introducing a new series with a new protagonist in, "The Never Game" (G.P. Putnam's Sons). In this thriller, a young woman has gone missing in Silicon Valley and her father has hired Colter Shaw to find her. The son of a survivalist family, Shaw is an expert tracker. But what seems a simple investigation quickly thrusts him into the dark heart of America's tech hub.
Forensic investigators Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs were introduced in 1997 in "The Bone Collector," and appeared in more than a dozen novels. Deaver also series the Kathryn Dance and the John Pellam series.
Deaver will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing, 3415 S.W. Cedar Hills Blvd., Beaverton.
