Drunk driving blamed in fatal crash near Oregon City
One person died in a crash with an alleged drunk driver Sept. 11 in unincorporated Oregon City.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office officials said deputies arrived just after 11 p.m. to the crash scene at Beavercreek and Henrici roads to find one of the cars fully engulfed in flames.
Deputies attempted CPR on the driver of the vehicle until Clackamas Fire paramedics arrived, but that driver died. CCSO is withholding identification of the deceased pending family notifications.
The sheriff's office said the other driver, 20-year-old Douglas M. McCann of Oregon City, was arrested on charges manslaughter, driving under the influence of intoxicants, two counts of criminal mischief, reckless driving and reckless endangering.
