Clackamas County Clerk Sherry Hall keeps seat
Sherry Hall, who has held office as Clackamas County clerk since 2003, has kept her seat from a challenger.
Pamela White was critical of Hall's refusal to conduct marriage ceremonies of any kind following the legalization of gay marriage in 2014.
Hall received about 52 percent of the vote in unofficial Nov. 6 returns, while White received 48 percent.
Hall previously was employed 12 years as a legal secretary at the Clackamas County DA's Office, five years as a deputy clerk in the county Recording Division, and two years as a coordinator for the county DUll Victim Impact Panel.
