A heartfelt thanks to all that helped with this years 'Fill-A-Bag/Envelope' for our local Food Pantry, SnowCap. Working with all the partners involved one gets that positive feeling that we are making a difference. Not only did folks get the 'little extras' they needed to get through the Holidays but SnowCap is now well positioned to take care of needs of those they serve for the next three months.

We saw multiple acts of kindness this Holiday Season – several police officers assisted a family get back on their feet by pooling resources and gathering donations. So hats off to these fine public servants who risk their lives but really enjoy saving others! Another group of folks put together a plan to make a single mom's Christmas whole, by not only providing gifts but resources to get caught up on rent and utilities. None of these things happened because of one person but because a community cares….not once during the gathering of the items for these families did anyone ask the color, the religion or any other information about the individuals needing help. They just wanted to know what these families needed to have a safe, special holiday season and beyond. There were so many good deeds done in that spirit that it seems almost impossible that there could be friction among mankind- yet there is…

So my wish for the New Year is that common sense prevail, and grace and kindness be plentiful on all sides of issues….and may you and yours be blessed with happiness and health!
