When not off road on his handcycle , he and his new Ford Flex enjoy the fast lane. And that is a good thing as he is and has always been a busy man – an Olympic Bronze Medalist 1988, 21 world records, 8 time world champion, National public speaker and Lifestyle Coach and Mentor just to name a few of his accomplishments. His own special bronze plaque at Nike Headquarters!
While born without legs - he truly is one of those guys that stands out in a crowd for all the right reasons! His positive attitude is infectious and kids of all ages have benefitted from his message of "How Can I?" as opposed to "I Can't". In addition, 8 years ago Craig created the Summer Handcycling Series in conjunction with the Oregon Road Bike Association at Portland International Raceway. Every week on Tuesday for 3-4 months, many cyclists gather to ride on the black racing surface at PIR.
As a partner of "Team Blanchette" we look forward to being creative to provide opportunities for Craig to inspire others. Be sure and wave to Craig when you see him out and about – there is no missing him in that Red and Black Ford Flex with a picture of him cycling on the side!
