MORE STORIES

No doubt, we live in one of the greenest, most beautiful parts of the country. And we're not only green with plants and trees, but we strive to be conscience of our environment and the footprint we're leaving for the generations that follow.

There are many organizations and programs locally that promote clean, green living and here's one that's happening this week end. Gresham's 6th annual "Green & Clean" Event at Hartley Elementary School, 701 NE 185th Place, Portland, OR 97230 on Saturday, May 4th from 9am to 10pm.

This year's day of service looks to put a special focus on the kids while promoting community engagement. Everyone is invited to help beautify the school grounds with coordinated activities for all ages and fitness levels. Food and entertainment to follow. If you'd like to participate, please register at >greshamoregon.gov/green-and-clean.

Teaching our children to respect this amazing world we live in is crucial to keeping things "green" into the future. And the business community as well, is doing their part in holding to standards that will keep things "Green & Clean" for the long run! On that note, we are proud that Ford Motor Company has been at the forefront putting into place sustainable practices that ensure their factories and dealerships across the country operate in the greenest and cleanest ways imaginable.

So, come out and enjoy some sunshine, great fellowship and just have a feel good, green and clean sparkly day!
