"Arsenic and Old Lace" — 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25-26, Nov. 1-2; 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, SALT Academy, 333 N. Main Ave., Gresham. Written by American playwright Joseph Kesselring in 1939 and during the early onset of World War II, the play is a farcical dark comedy set in Brooklyn, N.Y., revolving around the long time established Brewster family, two sweet old aunts and their nephews. The play references several points in history particularly around the Panama Canal. Tickets are $16, for ages 14 and older; $12, for ages 3-13, seniors and veterans. The home was built in 1900 on what was known as the Harlow Farm by Fred Harlow, son of Troutdale founder Captain John Harlow. The house is relatively unchanged from the day it was built.
