The summer concert season has begun! Pack a picnic and head down to the parks with your lawn chair to enjoy free music in the parks.Free Movies in the Park are also offered.

The free summer concerts and movies in the parks have begun. Here is this week's lineup:

Sunday, July 14 (6-7:30 p.m.) — Moonlight & Music concert at Millennium Plaza Park, 200 First St., Lake Oswego, features Mbrascatu, an indie rock band that draws from diverse European and American roots to create a unique signature sound. Blending together dynamics ranging from delicate to explosive, expressive Italian lyrics, hook-laden melodies, inventive arrangements and energetic rhythms to dance to, the band has performed extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest, delighting audiences at music venues, outdoor festivals, bars, clubs and on local radio stations.

Bring lawn chairs, picnic food and beverages.

Cloverdayle performs Wednesday, July 17, at Foothills Park in the Sounds of Summer concert series.

Wednesday, July 17 (7-9 p.m.) — Sounds of Summer concert at Foothills Park, 199 Foothills Drive, Lake Oswego features Cloverdayle, the husband and wife duo formerly of West Linn and now of Nashville. Chad and Rachel Hamar have been relentlessly determined to bring their brand of country music to the masses in a grassroots way. Pulling from real-life experiences, they have been writing and performing the soundtrack of their, their friends' and strangers' lives.

With two fan-funded albums and two EPs to their credit, a featured song on the popular TV show "Heartland," a feature on Billboard.com, and hundreds of live performances, Cloverdayle has released a self-titled full-length album featuring 15 original songs penned or co-penned by the duo. They were named Group of the Year by Women of Country in 2018.

Food and beverages are available for purchase, or bring a picnic. Lawn chairs also are recommended.

Lake Oswego Movies in the Park — Series starts July 18 with a screening of "Kung Fu Panda 3" at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.) at Millennium Plaza Park. Bring pillows, blankets and low sand chairs. Free popcorn and other snacks will be available.

West Linn concerts and movies — Series begins July 25. Watch for listings in future editions of the Review and Tidings.
