It's is almost time to start the Movie in the Parks series of family-friendly films shown in West Linn parks. Here's the schedule of what will be shown this summer.

COURTESY PHOTOS  - Bring the whole neighborhood to the summer Movies in the Park. Free screenings of movies are planned Friday evenings at dusk.

Nearly 300 people voted online to decide which movies would be screened this summer for West Linn Parks and Recreation's Movies in the Parks.

Movies begin at dusk, usually about 8:30 p.m. Concessions are available for purchase and free pre-movie activities include face painting, temporary tattoos, lawn games and movie trivia are all part of the fun.

Here is the schedule for the Friday night outdoor screenings:

July 26 — Watch "Mary Poppins Returns" at Tanner Creek Park, 3456 Parker Road.

Aug. 2 — Watch "The House with a Clock in the Walls" at Marylhurst Heights Park, 1800 Valleyview Drive.

Aug. 9 — See "Incredibles 2" at Mary S. Young Park, 19900 Highway 43.

Aug. 16 — See "The Little Mermaid" at Midhill Park, 18505 Upper Midhill Drive.

Aug. 23 — See "A Dog's Way Home" at Mary S. Young Park, 19900 Highway 43.

These free family-friendly events are brought to you through generous support from sponsors BIG Tooth Little Tooth, Clackamas Federal Credit Union, Kids First Pediatric, Smile Linn Dental and Water Environmental Services Clackamas County.

Event volunteers are members of the Blue Heron Chapter of National Charity League.

West Linn Parks and Recreation encourages walking, biking or carpooling whenever possible to the movies. Some of these locations are limited to neighborhood street parking.

And as a bonus, don't miss "Secondhand Lions" shown at the West Linn Old Time Fair, Friday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m. at Willamette Park on the main stage, sponsored by Advantis Credit Union.

Free popcorn is provided for the movies, plus pre-movie events like lawn games, face painting and more.
