COURTESY PHOTO - The Lake Oswego Adult Community Center will host a presentation by Blaine Chatterton to clear away confusion about cannabis use for recreation and medicinal use. The presentation is free and open to all.

At the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center we have noticed that with each passing year more and more people are getting comfortable with the idea that marijuana is legal.

And while a good portion of us are still hesitant to use marijuana recreationally we are coming around to the idea of utilizing marijuana for its medical properties.

Each year, even with more research and products to try, it is not surprising that many people experience cannabis confusion.

To attempt to make all things cannabis clear, attend Blaine Chatterton's presentation on medical marijuana taking place at the LOACC July 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Blaine will explain the difference between CBD and THC; distinguish between hemp and cannabis, and discuss the benefits of topical or oral cannabis. Other questions, like "Can I trust the internet?" or "Is a dispensary the best way to get information and product?" will also be discussed.

Cannabis could possibly help with anxiety, sleep issues and chronic pain to just to name a few aliments. If you find yourself in the midst of cannabis confusion and are curious if a cannabis product could help you, sign up today for Blaine's presentation.

The lunch menu this week features beef ragu on Friday, July 19; pork kebabs on Monday, July 22 and grilled pineapple chicken on Wednesday, July 24. Cost is a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and over and $5 for everyone else.

The LOACC is located at 505 G Ave., Lake Oswego, 97034.
