Farmers Insurance's Catastrophe Center is here to help
Every good insurer is ready and waiting for the day that they can come help customers in their time of need. Whether you're facing tornadoes in Alabama, wildfires in California or hailstorms in Oregon, Farmers Insurance has a mobile claims fleet standing ready to provide immediate claims service, as well as basic needs such as water, hot food and blankets.
In Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Farmers' mobile claims centers set up roving trailers for adjusters to stay in, so that they wouldn't take up local hotel or motel rooms in areas where they're desperately needed. Adjusters flew in from all over the country—including the Pacific Northwest!—to respond to customers needing immediate help.
"We were there to help with water and wind damage to houses," said Insurance INSIDER Mike McBride. If customers had a comprehensive auto insurance policy, any vehicular damage was also covered—even if the car was completely underwater! That's good news, considering that almost one million cars in the Houston area were damaged by Harvey.
If you and your family are affected by a natural disaster, Farmers is here to help—from printing checks to pay for temporary housing, to finding lost pets, to helping you contact family members. You can contact Farmers at any time day or night, or watch their mobile response in real time on Twitter at the handle @FarmersResponse.
