'Die Hard: The Musical Parody'
Funhouse Lounge returns with its holiday parody of the Bruce Willis/Alan Rickman and "Yippie-ki-yay" classic about John McClane, who only wants to patch things up with his wife for Christmas, and stop a dozen terrorists. Funhouse performers sing and dance and make jokes.

It's a Sarah Ruhl chamber musical by Third Rail Repertory Theatre. The story: Tilly is consumed by a melancholy so exquisite that no one can resist her — her tailor, hairdresser and even her therapist succumb to the allure of her perpetual sadness — but she inexplicably discovers happiness, and her joy wreaks havoc on the lives of her paramours.

Marissa Wolf, artistic director at Portland Center Stage, makes her directorial debut with the company with "Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley," a delightful Jane Austen-inspired comedy from playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon. It stars Lauren Modica as Mary Bennet in the charming and clever sequel to "Pride and Prejudice." The story: When the Bennet sisters gather at the home of Lizzy and Darcy for the holidays, an unexpected guest sparks brilliant, bookish Mary's hopes for independence, an intellectual match and perhaps even romance.
Previews begin 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, and continue Dec. 1, Dec. 3-4 and Dec. 5.

The comedian from "Saturday Night Live" and "Half Baked" movie fame takes the stage in Portland on his "Live & Let Laugh" tour. He is the guy, of course, with the killer Joe Pesci imitation. Breuer released a comedy album in the spring, "Jim Breuer Live From Portland," and it debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Comedy Album chart.
