'Fiddler on the Roof'

Reminder: From Broadway in Portland, it's the heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life, love and laughter. 'Wait Until Dark'

Lakewood Theatre Company begins the new year with a thriller, as murder, secret identities and a switchblade named Geraldine set the stage for a tale in 1944 Greenwich Village. The story: Susan, a blind woman, lives with husband Sam in a basement apartment. Sam brings a peculiar doll into the house, but it goes missing, a woman is murdered, and a mystery begins that leaves Susan tangled up with a ruthless con man. It's an adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher of Frederick Knott's original play.

• Vanity Fair called Brian Regan "the funniest stand-up alive," and Entertainment Weekly tabbed him "your favorite comedian's favorite comedian," and he'll perform in Portland. Portland Boat Show

The 60th big event for boating enthusiasts returns with a large collection of sailboats, sport boats, fishing boats, personal watercraft and accessories. Oregon Historical Society

The museum has a new exhibit in collaboration with "The Immigrant Story" and acclaimed Portland photographer Jim Lommasson's "What We Carried" project. It's called "DREAMs Deferred," and it amplifies the voices of undocumented immigrants from Mexico and South America who came to the United States as children or young adults and grew up navigating school, work and social life without official papers.
