Rangers slug past Mariners
Another day, another 10-4 loss on the road to Texas.
And, another four-home run game for the Rangers.
The Seattle Mariners fell to 33-37 with Saturday's 10-4 loss at Arlington, Texas, which came one day after a 10-4 loss to the Rangers, which came one day after a 6-2 loss at Minnesota.
The M's will try to snap their three-game skid when they face the Rangers in the series finale at noon PT Sunday.
In Saturday's matchup, Mike Napoli hit two two-run homers and Texas scored five runs in an inning twice.
Roughed Odor and Shin-Soo Chin also homered for the Rangers.
Mike Zunino hit a three-run HR for the Mariners, and Taylor Motter had an RBI double, but the M's couldn't keep pace with a Texas team (34-33) hitting four home runs in one game for the third time this year.
Zunino's sixth homer of 2017 gave him 21 RBIs in his last 13 games.
Seattle starter Yovani Gallardo (3-7) gave up five runs in five innings. Gallardo slipped to 1-4 with a 9.00 ERA in his last six starts.
The Mariners, 3-7 over their past 10 games, will go with right-hander Christian Berman (3-4, 5.75) on Sunday against righty Yu Darvish (6-4, 3.03).
