Oregon's Department of Environmental Quality said Wednesday, Nov. 6, that the region's air could be stagnant for several days.

DEQ reported on Monday, Nov. 4, that the air quality advisory covered most of the state and Southwest Washington. The advisory was issued because air conditions have trapped wood smoke near the ground.

Local county health agencies have also issued restrictions on wood burning, limiting use of wood stoves, fireplaces and outdoor burning.
