West Linn High School hosts free summer camp, school planning panel has three vacant seats and more

WLHS hosts free summer camp

West Linn High School is hosting a week-long summer day camp July 22-26 and July 29-Aug. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for incoming eighth and ninth graders. This camp is an Oregon Department of Education grant requirement to encourage the teaching of career and technical skills. The camp is free and will include drones, virtual reality and more science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities. To register online, visit

Rosemont Ridge announces travel program meeting

Rosemont Ridge students will have the opportunity to travel to France and Italy over spring break in March 2020. The itinerary includes trips to the Eiffel Tower, the Coliseum and many more well-known sites. There will be an informational parent meeting Wednesday, May 15, from 6-7 p.m. in the library at Rosemont. At the meeting parents can learn about the itinerary, payment options and how students can earn high school or college credit. School planning panel has three vacant seats

The Long Range Planning Committee has three positions on its seven-member committee that expire June 30. The school board opened the three positions April 22 for interested community members. Positions 2, 4 and 6 are now open. Term lengths are three years and current members can reapply.
