'Red for ed'
West Linn-Wilsonville and Oregon City school district teachers paraded the West Linn-Oregon City Arch Bridge May 8 decked out in red — a color representing advocacy for fair funding for K-12 education. Teachers, parents and students chanted and sported signs to show their support for quality education. Members of the West Linn-Wilsonville Education Association also organized banner drops with informational picketing on Boeckman Road and Stafford Road. After an hour of car honking and sign waving, many teachers and community members flocked to the Portland waterfront to join thousands of others in showing the need for stable funding in Oregon schools.
